Retiree Employment Agency

The Retiree Employment Agency was established at the beginning of 2021 to respond to the growing demand for human resources in our region.

The Agency facilitates the liaison between retirees over 50 who wish to return to the workforce and employers who have a need for temporary workers. This bilingual service is offered in Northwestern New Brunswick.

Born in Edmundston, Michel now lives in Grand Falls and is a golf and e-bike enthusiast. He enjoys volunteering and is currently a board member of Special Olympics Northwest Region of New-Brunswick. Very active in the labor market from a very young age, he is a retired banker with over 30 years of experience in providing financial advice to customers and demonstrating excellent leadership abilities. Throughout his career, he has obtained various certifications and has completed a number of networking, communications and public speaking courses. He is looking forward to helping local businesses, Non-Profit Organizations and retirees in his new role of Pairing Retiree Officer with the Retiree Employment Agency.

Lise joined the Employment Retirement Agency as an Administrative Assistant in October 2022 as a casual employee and received her permanency in January 2023.

She began her professional career with the Department of Justice from 1980 to 1991 and from 1991 to 2015 with the Department of Social Development. During those years, she held various positions such as court reporter, legal secretary, administrative assistant, executive secretary, basic case manager and finally pre-registration clerk for social assistance recipients until her retirement in 2015. During her career, she has acquired solid skills and has demonstrated that she is autonomous and resourceful while meeting many challenges and being called upon to work alone and make decisions often in stressful and crisis situations for the recipients of her services.

She performs her duties with great tact and diplomacy, honesty and discretion. Lise is a people person and her smile and good humor are contagious.

Always punctual, she arrives at the office ready to start her day with great pleasure, dynamism and enthusiasm.
